DEDICATED

Swenson served as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army Reserve from June 1993 to June 2001. During her military service, she began law school, demonstrating her commitment to serving our country. She is dedicated to upholding the law and has been practicing in Hamilton County for 17 years.

EXPERIENCED

After becoming an Administrative Law Judge with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Swenson made decisive rulings, evaluated evidence, assessed witness credibility, and issued written decisions. Swenson established judicial practices to ensure the court operated effectively, recognizing the importance of thorough analysis in complex cases. During her tenure, she presided on over more than 4,000 cases. Following this role, she transitioned to private practice to work with victims of domestic violence, aiming to make a more significant impact.

ADVOCATE

Swenson is driven to protect those who do not have a voice. She is actively involved with the Indiana Coalition for Domestic Violence and is passionate about serving financially underserved individuals. Throughout her career, she has helped countless men, women, and children escape the cycle of domestic violence and is dedicated to stopping its continuation.

PHILANTHROPIC

 Swenson often downplays her extensive volunteer work with multiple non-profits, serving as a board member and sustaining supporter. Her contributions include, but are not limited to, the Advisory Board of the Carmel Girl Scouts, Girl Scout Leader (12 Years),  the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ISBVI), the Lions Club, the Lions Club Board for the ISBVI, and GiGi’s Playhouse. In the past five years, she’s dedicated more than 800 hours of pro bono/modest means work assisting individuals with limited financial resources.
